I'm looking for some iron panels to restore my James Cook 210D, which has some rust.

Or any experience with Van Wezel or Diederichs panels ?

Ich hatte in Polen dieses Panel bestellt, aber noch nicht eingebaut. Sie ein wenig aus, als sei es handgefertigt, keine Industrieware. Zur Passform kann ich noch nichts sagen.

VanWezel oder Diederichs sind schlecht. Viel zu dünnes Material, schlechte Passform. Ich hatte vordere Flügel und Motorhaube von van Wezel. Da fehlen Verstärkungen, Klebungen. Spaltmaße waren sehr groß, keilförmig bis über 1cm. Mit originalen Teilen passt alles wieder.

Thanks a lot for your answer. Actually I had also found this website in Poland and was thinking about ordering from them. They told me the iron is approximatively 1mm thick, and galvanized, with is surprising.

Would you eventually mesure the thickness of the part you got from them and upload a picture ?

Ja, ich habe auch 1,0mm gemessen. Und ja, das Material ist galvanisiert.

Auch die Schnittkanten außen sind nicht gerade und haben noch leichte Grate. Das Blech muss vor Einbau auf jeden Fall noch angepasst und bearbeitet werden. Ich denke, besser als übliche Formteile oder eine Blechtafel sind die polnischen Reparaturbleche allemal.

Bleibt die Frage nach der Passform.
Da bin ich etwas skeptisch, aber schlechter als vanWezel & co kann die kaum sein.
